Beiteinu Chaj – 2004 Foundation

In the hills above Pieszyce / Peterswaldau can be found the site of the former “Sportschule” (school for athletics), that had become part of a KZ Außenlager of the large Groß Rosen Camp; “Sportschule” became its name. It is also the location of the burial site of some of the victims of the camp and has become a memorial site that is still visited by the Jewish citizen of Bielawa and Dzier?oniów and some of the visitors to the synagogue. Staff at the synagogue will be pleased to give you directions to the “Sportschule” (driving time 30 – 45 minutes).
